(I think I’m going to be posting more headcanons & theories I have, especially about Ninjago.)
It’s canon that Jay doesn’t swear (his comment on cursing being a sign of weak verbal skills), but I still will stick to the headcanon that he can be, and often is, one of the most violent & dangerous ninja on the team. Think about it- high strung, lots of energy, intense emotions & loyalty to his friends. All of these traits would add up to an explosive burst of rage if he were to find out you did something to someone he cares about.
I like to think Cole & Nya, who are closest to him, either intentionally or subconsciously make sure to keep an eye on Jay to be a sort of anchor for him, & keep him grounded in reality. Because growing up in a junkyard, and training with the other ninja, it’s very likely that Jay occasionally doubts his place on the team, & feels like he doesn’t have much to contribute.
…. so he either turns those doubts to rage & frustration towards his enemies, sometimes so much so that he doesn’t realize how far he’s gone until his opponent is either unable to move or worse, lying dead after a particularly strong shock combined with a hit to the head with Jay’s nunchucks.
everybody has that one fictional character that they irrationally adore above all others and will defend to the death and you just get super happy and excited whenever you see their face on your dash
